Each of the below one-on-one consults and assessments can be done virtually or in person.
Virtual Visits
We provide virtual visit options for all visit types. In these visits we connect over our secure platform, Spruce. Some Aetna plans cover this service, please contact Aetna directly to verify benefits.
Initial Visit
This visit typically lasts 1.5 hours for office visits and 2 hours for home visits. During an initial consult, we will discuss you and your baby’s health history, your feeding goals, and address any issues or questions you may have. We will observe, and assess a nursing, pumping and/or bottle-feeding session based on your needs, perform a weighted feeding as well as an oral assessment for your baby. We will work together to create a plan that works for you. This visit includes a customized care plan, report for your health care provider(s), and access via telephone, text, and/or email for follow up questions for 2 weeks after the consult.

Follow Up Visit
A follow up consult usually lasts 1-1.5 hours. During this time together we will do a reassessment of feeding and oral function, perform a weight check, and make any necessary adjustments to your customized care plan. This visit includes 2 more weeks of follow up text, call, and email support.

Prenatal Visit
This visit may last 1 hour and includes a comprehensive health history review and breast assessment. A prenatal consultation is great for first time moms who have any questions and want to get breastfeeding off to a strong start. It is also a great visit for parents that have health concerns, breast/chest surgeries or feeding issues with a previous child. We will provide guidance and care plan to get your lactating journey off to a great start!

Bottle Introduction and Bottle Feeding Issues Visit
This is a visit addresses bottle feeding whether you are about to introduce a bottle or your little is struggling with bottle feeding or bottle refusal. This visit usually lasts about 1.5 hours. We will review your baby’s feeding history, assess their bottle feeding skills as well as a full oral assessment. We will provide you will education and strategies to guide your little one to have great bottle feeding experience! This visit does not cover a full breastfeeding assessment or address breastfeeding issues.

Pumping and Pump Flange Fittings Visit
This visit is great for parents that are pumping or are ready to begin pumping. This visit usually lasts about 30 minutes. We will assess the fit of your pump flanges and ensure your pump is working properly for you. We will give you tips to help make pumping more effective and most importantly more comfortable. This session does not include a breastfeeding or milk supply assessment.
Virtual or In-Office - Self Pay Discounted Rate - $50
Return to Work Visit
This is a visit is great for parents that are preparing or currently working outside the home or for parents that are ready to introduce a bottle and begin pumping. This visit usually lasts about 1 hour. Our discussion will assist you in preparing for your return to work and includes how to use your breast pump, flange fitting, review of milk storage and handling, bottle feeding tips, and strategies to protect your milk supply while working. Additionally, we will provide guidance on bottle introduction and bottle feeding skills for your baby. This visit does not cover breastfeeding assessment or breastfeeding issues.
